Effective and last updated: August 16, 2026
These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Education News mobile application, website, and related services (collectively, the "Service"). By creating an account, submitting content, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
Eligibility and accounts
You must be legally capable of entering into a binding agreement under applicable law. You must provide accurate and current information, protect your login credentials, and promptly notify us of suspected unauthorized access. You are responsible for activity performed through your account.
Reporter applications and approval
Reporter applications are subject to review. We may approve, reject, suspend, or request additional information for an application where reasonably necessary to protect the Service, meet editorial standards, or comply with law. Payment of a joining fee does not remove your obligation to follow these Terms.
Payments and fees
- The App may charge a one-time reporter joining fee in the amount displayed before checkout.
- A 2.3% convenience fee is displayed separately and included in the total shown before payment.
- Payments are processed in Indian rupees through Cashfree and its supported payment methods.
- We do not collect or store your complete card, bank-account, or UPI credentials.
- Your reporter account is activated after the payment provider confirms a successful payment.
You authorize us and our payment provider to process the displayed total and payment-related information. Refund eligibility and processing are governed by our Refund Policy.
Reporter earnings
Any reporter earnings are calculated from eligible approved and published articles under the rates and conditions displayed in the App. Earnings may be reviewed for errors, duplicate content, policy violations, fraud, or legal compliance before payout. Payout timing and eligibility are separate from the joining fee.
Your content
You retain ownership of content you submit. You grant Education News a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, review, edit for presentation and accuracy, reproduce, publish, distribute, and display that content for operating and promoting the Service. You represent that you have the rights and permissions needed to submit the content.
Acceptable use
You must not use the Service to:
- submit false, misleading, plagiarized, defamatory, unlawful, or rights-infringing content;
- harass others, impersonate a person or organization, or misrepresent your affiliation;
- upload malicious code, interfere with security, or attempt unauthorized access;
- manipulate payments, earnings, engagement, or account-review processes; or
- use the Service in violation of applicable law or third-party rights.
Editorial decisions and service availability
Submitted articles may be reviewed, edited, rejected, unpublished, or removed under our editorial and legal obligations. We may update, interrupt, or discontinue parts of the Service. We do not guarantee that every submission will be published or that the Service will always be uninterrupted or error-free.
Third-party services
The Service relies on third parties, including Cashfree for payment processing and technology providers for authentication, notifications, data storage, and image hosting. Their services may be governed by additional terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party services outside our control.
Suspension and termination
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may restrict, suspend, or terminate access when we reasonably believe these Terms have been violated, the Service or another person is at risk, or action is required by law. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will remain in effect.
Disclaimers and limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties not expressly stated in these Terms. Education News will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive losses arising from use of the Service. Nothing in these Terms excludes rights or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts under applicable Indian law, without limiting any mandatory consumer rights.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as the Service or legal requirements change. The current version will remain available at this URL with its effective date. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance where permitted by law.
