Information we collect

• Account information: name, email address, phone number, and authentication details.
• Reporter profile information: village, address, profile photo, and optional Aadhaar number supplied during reporter registration.
• Content: articles, drafts, images, banners, advertisements, and other material you submit.
• Payment information: joining-fee amount, Cashfree order and transaction references, payment method category, status, and reporter payout records. We do not collect or store complete card, bank-account, or UPI credentials.
• Device and technical information: notification tokens, app diagnostics, and basic device information needed to operate and secure the App.

How we use information

We use collected information to:

• create and secure accounts, verify reporters, and manage approvals;
• review, publish, attribute, and manage submitted education-news content;
• administer joining fees, reporter earnings, and payout records;
• send account, editorial, payment, and other service notifications;
• provide support, prevent misuse, maintain security, and comply with legal obligations.

Permissions

The App may request camera or photo-library access only when you choose to capture or attach profile and article images. Notification permission is used to deliver service updates. You can manage these permissions in your device settings.

Service providers and sharing

We do not sell personal information. We share information only as needed to operate the App, comply with law, protect users, or complete a business transfer. Our service providers include Google Firebase for authentication and notifications; Google Sign-In when selected; Convex for application data and server functions; Cloudinary for uploaded image hosting; and Cashfree for payment processing. Cashfree receives the customer and transaction information needed to create, process, verify, and refund payments. These providers process information under their own terms and privacy policies.

Approved article content and reporter attribution may be made public as part of the publishing service. Administrative users can review reporter profiles, submissions, approval status, and relevant payment records.

Data retention and security

We retain account and reporter information while the account is active and as reasonably necessary for the purposes described above, dispute resolution, security, and legal compliance. Article records may be removed according to our content-retention schedule. Uploaded images can remain in backups or hosting systems for a limited period after related records are deleted.

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, but no electronic storage or transmission method can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

Your choices and deletion requests

You may request access, correction, or deletion of your account and associated personal information by emailing support@enreducationnews.app from your registered email address. We may need to verify your identity. Some information may be retained where required by law or for legitimate security, fraud-prevention, accounting, or dispute-resolution purposes.

Children's privacy

The App is intended for authorized reporters and administrators and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Contact us if you believe a child has provided personal information so we can investigate and delete it where appropriate.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the App or legal requirements change. The current version will remain available at this URL, with its effective date shown above.
